CROSSTREE MARINE LTD.

Captain Nigel Peters AMS(®), Principal Marine Surveyor and Director of Crosstree Marine Ltd., has been sailing recreationaly and commercial since 1969.

At the age of 6, he started sailing in small sailing dinghies with his father. by age 10 he was sailing on cruising boats and racing dinghies. He graduated into ocean racing in the Irish Sea at age 14 before joining P&O Steam Navigation Company ​as a deck cadet in 1981.

Nigel remained at sea, graduating up through the ranks, obtaining a British Class 1 (Deck) Master Mariner Certificate of Competence through Warsash Nautical College, serving on multiple types of vessels, including tall ships, ferries, general cargo ships, with 6 years as Captain on container and cruise ships. After 18 years at sea, he came ashore and took up a surveying position at Alexander Gow, Inc., in Portland, Oregon. He spent 17 years at Alexander Gow, Inc., rising from a staff surveyor to principal surveyor and corporation president.

In December, 2016 Nigel left Alexander Gow, Inc., and sailed with his wife on their lagoon 470 catamaran to the island of Grenada, where he opened Crosstree Marine Ltd.
